Acquisition Recommendations

Please contact the director of the library to request the purchase of books, periodicals, or other educational materials.
Note: All application software is purchased through the IT Department, and requests should be directed to them.
All recommendations will be evaluated based on the existing KCU Library collection, availability, and budget.

Course Reserves

Course Reserve Request

Faculty members may request that the library put books and other library materials on reserve for student use.

Please submit reserve requests to the library by email: (Kansas City campus) or (Joplin campus).

Reserve materials will be made available within 24 hours if the request is submitted Monday - Thursday. Friday submissions will be made available the following Monday.

Desk Copies

Faculty Desk Copies

Desk copy requests must include the following information:

  • Name and number of the course in which the textbook will be used
  • Number of students in the course
  • Date the course will begin

Please contact Lori Fitterling if you have questions regarding this process.
