Interactive Online Dissection Tools

Online Interactive Dissection Tools

An online dissection simulation lab. Tilt, rotate, and dissect real specimens layer-by-layer to study anatomical structures as though you were at the dissection lab.

Instructions: In order to use this resource, click here. You will be prompted to create an account. Fill out the requested information and use your @kansascity.edu e-mail address. You will receive a confirmation e-mail with a password, and then you will be able to access the tool for free. If you encounter any problems, please contact library staff at library@kansascity.edu.

This software provides you with an integrated environment for anatomical education and reference. With the ability to interact with correlated 3D and cross-sectional views of over 2,000 anatomical structures through identification, dissection, assembly and rotation, the VH Dissector helps you understand the complex three-dimensional structure of the human body.

Thieme Teaching Assistant Anatomy consists of the 2,200 illustrations and clinical images from Gilroy's Atlas of Anatomy. To use the images you will need to create your own personal account (free for KCU students and faculty).
